What is magazine printing and how much does it cost in Kenya?
A printed magazine is a bound, multi-page publication used for magazines, newsletters and annual publications. Print Lion prints magazines in Nairobi with perfect binding, wire binding or saddle stitching, and can add UV varnishing, matte or gloss laminating, foiling and die-cutting. There is no fixed price list, because the price depends on your size and quantity. Send both and we give you a quote. The minimum order is one magazine. Orders are ready in 1 to 2 days once your artwork is correct and approved. We deliver to all counties in Kenya, or you can collect from our office at Tumaini House on Moi Avenue.
Three binding styles to choose from
Perfect binding, wire binding or saddle stitching, so a thin newsletter and a thick annual publication can each be bound the right way.
Finishes that suit the cover
Add UV varnishing, matte or gloss laminating, foiling or die-cutting to give your cover a finish people notice and a surface that handles well.
Vibrant colour and sharp images
Photos, logos and layouts print with strong colour and clear detail, so your publication looks professional in the hands of your readers.
Low minimum, start from one copy
The minimum order is one magazine, so you can print a single proof copy or a full run for your organisation.
Ready in 1 to 2 days
Once your artwork is correct and approved, your magazines are ready in 1 to 2 days. We deliver to all counties in Kenya, or you can collect from our Nairobi office.
What customers say about Print Lion
Getting your artwork ready
Send your artwork as PDF, high-resolution TIFF, JPEG, PSD, or AI and other vector files. We cannot accept Word, PowerPoint, Excel or Publisher files, or Canva and Google Docs links, because these are editing formats that do not reliably keep fonts, colours and layout. Keep images at least 150 DPI at final print size. CMYK and RGB are both fine, but printed colour can look different from your screen, so ask for a physical sample first if exact colour matters to you. Allow 2 mm of bleed beyond the trim edge and keep text and graphics at least 10 mm inside the trim edge. Send the full inside pages as one PDF in page order. The cover can be a separate file. Send files by email, WhatsApp or a shareable link. We send you a proof, and printing starts only after you approve it. If your file has a problem we cannot fix, we can point you to a professional designer.
