Freelance UX Designer Job

Print Lion is a branding services company located in Nairobi. Our main clients are individuals and small businesses in Kenya and beyond.  We are seeking a talented and experienced freelance UX Designer to collaborate with us on various digital design projects. 

As a freelance UX Designer, you will have the flexibility to work remotely from any location while playing a vital role in creating exceptional user experiences for our clients. 

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals, user needs, and business requirements.

- Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to visualize user flows and interactions.

- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that prioritize user experience and align with best practices.

- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing results.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging UX design techniques.

Requirements:

- Proven work experience as a freelance UX Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your UX design skills.

- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.

- Strong understanding of UX principles, user-centred design, and information architecture.

- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to effectively communicate design concepts.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a remote team environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in designing for web and mobile applications.

- Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.

- Understanding of responsive design principles.

Our customers are small businesses and individuals and therefore do not have elaborate branding requirements as corporate customers. They also do not have big budgets.

Rate: Ksh 5000

2. UX design for a simple e-commerce website comprising of:

Rate: Ksh 10000

The above rates are a guide and may vary depending on the client’s brief. 

As a freelance UX Designer for Print Lion, you will have the opportunity to collaborate remotely with our team and contribute to delivering outstanding digital experiences for our clients. Compensation will be discussed on an individual project basis, depending on the scope and complexity of each assignment.
