What is a duplicate book and how much does it cost in Kenya?
A duplicate book is a two-part set, an original and one copy, used for any form that needs two copies, such as receipts, invoices and delivery notes. Print Lion’s books are No Carbon Required (NCR), so whatever you write on the top sheet copies straight through without carbon paper. Each book is glued at the top with a back board, and serial numbering and perforation come as standard. You choose the size (A4, A5, A6 or A7), the number of parts (duplicate, triplicate or quadruplicate), the sets per book (25, 50 or 100) and your quantity. As a guide, 10 A5 duplicate books with 50 sets each cost Ksh 4,000. Minimum order is 1 book for A4, 2 for A5, 4 for A6 and 8 for A7. Books are ready in 1 to 2 days once artwork is approved, with delivery to all counties in Kenya or collection from our Nairobi office.
No carbon paper to fuss with
These are NCR books, so writing on the top sheet copies straight through to the sheet below. You get a clean copy for your customer and one for your records, with no messy carbon sheets in between.
Numbered and perforated as standard
Serial numbering and perforation are included on every order, not charged as extras. Each set tears out cleanly and every form is numbered in order, which keeps your receipts and invoices easy to track.
Built around how you actually work
Pick the size, the number of parts, the sets per book and your quantity. Shops, dukas and small businesses order these for receipts, invoices and delivery notes, and you set it up to match the forms you use.
Ready in 1 to 2 days
Once your artwork is correct and approved, your books are printed, bound, numbered and perforated within 1 to 2 days. Collect from our Nairobi office on Moi Avenue or have them delivered to any county.
What customers say about Print Lion
How to prepare your artwork for printing
- File types we accept Send PDF, high-resolution TIFF, JPEG, PSD, or AI or other vector files. We do not accept Word, PowerPoint, Excel or Publisher files, or Canva and Google Docs links, as these are editing formats that do not hold fonts, colours and layout reliably.
- Resolution and colour Keep artwork at least 150 DPI at final print size. Both CMYK and RGB are fine. Printed colour can look different from what you see on your screen, so ask us for a sample first if exact colour matters to you.
- Bleed and safe area Allow 2 mm bleed beyond the trim edge, and keep all text at least 10 mm from the trim edge so nothing gets cut off.
- How to send it Send your files by email, WhatsApp or a shareable link. We review the file and send a proof for your approval before anything is printed.
Getting your artwork ready
Designs are printed exactly as supplied, so your file must be print ready and high resolution. Print Lion does not type, edit or typeset forms for you. You can supply your own design, including one made with AI tools, as long as the file meets the requirements below. We send a proof for your approval before printing begins.
